My name is Skittles and I am a seven year old horse show pony. I know I am small but I can do big things. My horse show kid is Savannah and we make a great team. Before I met Savannah all I did all day was eat grass in a big field and play games with my friends the other ponies. Sometimes a man and two little girls would come out to visit me. The little girls would bring me tasty carrots and other treats. I liked my big field and my two little girls.
Then one day the man came to the big field without the little girls with the treats. He walked me out of the big field and towards a trailer that was parked in the driveway. There was a lady waiting there. The man gave her my rope and she walked me on the trailer. When the door shut the man smiled at me and told me I would be happy where I was going and that I would have a nice life. I started to whinny and whinny for my friends in the big field. All of a sudden I got very scared. I had a nice life and I did not want to go anywhere. I whinnied and whinnied but all I could do was watch from the little window as we pulled away from my big field and started down the long road.
When I arrived at the new place the lady took me off the trailer and walked me into a big barn. I had my own stall waiting for me. It smelled different than my field. I did not know anyone. I ran and ran around the stall and whinnied but no one came to help me. Where was my man and my little girls? Why did they let the lady bring me here? Would I ever see the big field again? I was so scared I just stood in the corner. All day big people kept coming to my stall door and staring at me. They said I was cute. They laughed and talked about how little I am and about my one blue eye. I just stood in the corner and let my little head hang down. I was very sad.
Then it happened… my stall door started to slide open and there she stood. She was little like me. She just looked at me and I looked back at her. I wanted to sniff her but I was still a little nervous. Then she pulled her hand from out of her jacket pocket and stuck it out at me. She had brought me a handful of crisp, fresh carrots! I forgot all about being nervous and scared and trotted right over to eat as fast as I could all her carrots. She started to laugh. That is when I knew she was my kid.
Since that day Savannah has been teaching me to be a horse show pony. Sometimes it is scary and I am not sure if I can do it but then Savannah tells me I can. I love my horse show kid and I love being a horse show pony!

That is so cute. I wish he was mine!
aww Skittles, you are adorable!
You and Savannah look like you’d make the perfect team :]
This pony is super cute and fancy!
You are so lucky to have such an understanding mom when it comes to horses. My parents never really did understand how much I love them. Just within the last couple years I finally got my first horse…however my parents still aren’t big fans. You look to be very talented, and have a very cute pony!! Good luck at any upcoming shows you may have!
